I didn't follow the traditional route. No university. No silver spoon. I grew up in circumstances that others might label hardship — but I never saw it that way. What I had was drive, a methodical mind, and a relentless curiosity about how organisations buy things.
Over 25 years I built a career in procurement across manufacturing, construction, public and private sectors. I sat every CIPS exam. I marked CIPS corporate programmes. I tutored day and evening classes nationally. I won two national supply chain awards. And eventually I became a Fellow of CIPS — the highest grade of membership the institute awards.
I'm also autistic. It took me a long time to realise that my methodical, precise, systems-oriented brain wasn't a weakness in procurement — it was a superpower. My unique perspective has shaped the way I teach: clear, structured, no wasted words, no meaningless padding. I hate waffle in procurement and I hate it in education too.
The CIPS qualification is genuinely valuable. But the route to passing it — expensive courses, heavy textbooks, limited tutor access — excludes too many people. Students who work full time. Students who can't afford thousands in course fees. Students who just need someone to explain a concept clearly at 11pm the night before an exam.
SupplySensei exists to level that playing field. The AI Tutor, the practice tests, the study resources — everything I build is designed to give those students the same quality of guidance that others pay a premium for. At a price that doesn't require a financing plan.
I'm not affiliated with CIPS. I'm not an authorised training provider. I'm a procurement professional who knows this qualification inside and out, and who's built tools to help you pass it. That's it. No politics. No fluff.
Your background, your bank balance, your working hours — none of these should determine whether you can pass a professional qualification. Every resource I build is designed with affordability in mind.
I've sat in the negotiation room. I've managed supply chain crises. I've built category strategies from scratch. Everything at SupplySensei comes from someone who's actually done the job, not just read about it.
Procurement has a bad habit of making simple things complicated. I do the opposite. If I can't explain a concept clearly to a student, I haven't understood it well enough myself.
My autism means I think differently. Many students do too. SupplySensei is built for a range of thinking styles — structured, methodical, visual, lateral. One style of learning doesn't fit everyone.
I'm not affiliated with CIPS. I don't have a commercial relationship with any training provider. What I say about the qualification is based on my experience as a professional and tutor — nothing else.
The AI Tutor isn't a replacement for study — it's a force multiplier. Use it to clarify concepts, test yourself, explore exam technique. It's a tool, and tools should be in the hands of everyone, not just those who can afford them.
Whether you're starting L4, pushing through L5, or looking for comprehensive support across all levels — SupplySensei has you covered.
